With over a decade of experience building technology solutions for Vector’s clients, Matt leads our Technology and Development team on technical planning, execution and delivery in all projects. Matt is an expert in blending the latest technical advances with a pragmatic approach, and has developed sites ranging from large publishing platforms to customized eCommerce stores. Matt is a noted eCommerce, PCI, server infrastructure, and ExpressionEngine expert, and has presented at ExpressionEngine conferences around the world.

Imran Shaikh

Founder & CEO

Imran Shaikh is the Founder and CEO of One Stop Halal. He oversees the overall operation and business activities to ensure it produces the desired result. Before founding the company, Imran worked for 15 years in Fortune 500 companies like Yahoo, Microsoft, IBM, and Disney, where he led company-wide initiatives to build and adopt cloud-based technologies. He also ran the IT infrastructure team, managing thousands of servers where downtime of a single server would imply missing millions of dollars in revenue.

Imran has completed a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Southern California in 2004. He has presented at various IT conferences throughout the USA and Canada about the cutting edge distributed computing technologies. He also runs a blog and advises people on Containers, DevOps, and Elastic Compute technologies.

Imran lives in the Greater Los Angeles area with his wife and two beautiful daughters. He is actively involved with the local Muslim community & Islamic Centers.

Irfan Shaikh

Chief Operating Officer

Irfan Shaikh is the Chief Operating Officer at One Stop Halal. He is the engine that keeps One Stop Halal running. Before co-founding the company, Irfan worked at 5+Design as a Lead Architect for ten years. He has designed world-class retail and commercial real-estate projects in the USA, China, Russia, Turkey, and Middle East countries. Working with such a diverse clientele and government regulations, he has acquired substantial knowledge to run One Stop Halal operations like a well-oiled machine.

Irfan graduated with a Master of Architecture degree from Southern California Institute of Architecture (Sci-Arc) in 2006.

Irfan has designed and build multiple Islamic Centers in the Greater Los Angeles area. With Irfan's substantial knowledge working with the city and its coding requirements, he gets consulted by other Muslim real-estate developers in the area. He lives in the Greater LA area with his wife and a 9-year-old son.

Irshad Abdulkarim

Chief Financial Officer

Irshad Abdulkarim manages the overseas operation as well as company finances, including financial planning, management of financial risks, record-keeping, and financial reporting. Irshad has completed dual masters, including the MBA from California in 2008. He brings a wealth of experience working as a Project Manager & Lead Analyst at world-class organizations like Pfizer, Home Depot, Paramount Pictures, Edison, etc.

His never die attitude is contagious.

Yahya Lala

Plant Manager - Products

Yahya Lala is the "Plant Manager - Products" at One Stop Halal. He is responsible for the supply chain and logistics operations of the company. He collaborates with multiple-functional managers to plan and execute distribution center operational process to enable seamless transfers.

Yahya Lala has done Bachelors of Arts from Pakistan 20 years ago. He lives in the Greater Los Angeles area with his wife and three children. One of them recently become Hafidh Al-Quran, Alhamdulillah.

Mohamed Khan, Ph.D.

Chief Halal Technical Specialist

Dr. Khan has 30 years of experience studying and working with food/bio-ingredients (from animal, plant, and microbial sources).

Dr. Khan graduated from KAAU in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with B.Sc. in Biochemistry, followed by M.Sc. in Biochemistry from METU in Ankara, Turkey. Dr. Khan graduated with M.Sc. and Ph.D. in food science from MUN in St. John’s, Canada, with a major emphasis on processing, quality, and safety of foods/bio-ingredients. Industrial research in Master and Doctoral programs enabled Dr. Khan to gain the “Fellow of School of Graduate Studies” Award.

Dr. Khan gained further industry experience in food products and bio-ingredients by working/visiting various plants in Canada and Switzerland. He contributed to over 30 peer-reviewed papers, presentations, book chapters, patents, and other related publications in the field of food science/bio-ingredients.

Saad Asrar

Halal Technical Specialist

Saad Asrar has 13 years of experience working as R & D Food Scientist in the food industry. He specializes in reverse engineering and formulating new products across multiple food categories. He has worked for leading food companies like Nestle, GNC as a Quality & Regulatory Professional.

Saad has successfully developed products in compliance with regulations - organic, halal, kosher, gluten-free, and non-GMO within specific nutritional and ingredient guidelines. He is well-versed in all phases of food development - from the formulation, costing, initial benchtop to commercial launch.

Saad has completed a Masters in Food Science from Purdue University, IN. Even though he is a serious food scientist, Saad still cannot resist whenever he sees a halal confectionary. Halal gummy bears are his favorite.

Dr. Aboo Nasar, M.D., M.P.H.

Healthier Lifestyle Coach

Aboo Nasar, MD, MPH, MBA, is a Fellowship Geriatrician and Internal Medicine physician practicing in San Diego County for over 14+ years.

He is Board Certified in Anti Aging Medicine and Integrative Holistic Medicine. He has nurtured great interest in Brain Health and memory and setting up protocols to optimize Brain Health. He has mastered the art and technique of improving his clients' health and motivating them to put diet and lifestyle practices above pharmacotherapy.

Dr. Nasar has served on multiple Hospital Boards, overseas multiple health care providers, and he has been quite instrumental in changing the landscape of Long Term Care in San Diego County in addition to actively managing his practice. He is also a prolific speaker and has delivered lectures in Integrative Holistic Medicine in National and International Health forums.

Dr. Nasar was co-founder and Past President of the Greater San Diego Bangladesh Association and Past Scientific Social Secretary of BMANA and current President of BMANA CA Chapter.

Shaykh Mohamed Iqbal Lakhani

Chief Religious Scholar

Shaykh Mohamed Iqbal Lakhani was born in Pakistan; he completed his Master's Degree in Islamic and Quranic Studies from Multan Khairul Madaris, Pakistan.

He is an Imam, Khateeb, and the Principal at the School of King Fahad Mosque for last 12 years. He also served as an Islamic Studies teacher at Al Ilm Educational Institute at Whittier, CA. He is well renowned religious scholar among all ethnic Muslim groups in Greater Los Angeles area.

He has studied sacred Islamic knowledge "Dars-e-Nizamiyyah" from Madrassa Arabia, Raiwind, Pakistan for eight years. He learned Usul al-Fiqh (Resolutions & Permissions in Islam), Logic, Usul al-Hadith, Usul al-Tafseer. Having completed that, he studied Arabic, Hadith, and Four Madhaib of Fiqh at Jamiatul Iman, Yemen.

Shaykh Mohamed Iqbal Lakhani is very passionate about the halal way of life, and he will go to lengths to educate the community about its benefits to bring a positive change in their life.

Imam Jihad Saafir

Religious Scholar

Imam Jihad Saafir has been Masjid Ibaadillah's resident Imam since 2007. Imam Jihad received his BA in Arabic studies in 2011 and had earned his Graduate Degree in Leadership from Claremont Lincoln University and recently became a new member of the Shura Council in 2012.

He also works as a Muslim Chaplin at California Institute for Women (CIW). Continuing in the tradition of Masjid Ibaadillah, Imam Jihad has committed himself to teaching weekend classes in Tajweed, Classical Arabic, and Fiqh for the Ibaadullah Institute. He also serves as the President of the Islah L.A., a community restoration initiative that promotes the betterment of the community, education, social and economic empowerment in South LA.

Shaykh Mohammed Uzair Khan

Religoius Scholar

Shaykh Mohammed Uzair Khan was born in Pakistan but raised in Southern California. He completed his Aalimiyyah degree (Master's equivalent) in Arabic and Islamic studies from Jamia Darul Uloom Karachi, Korangi. Currently, the Shaykh resides in the Greater Los Angeles region.

Mohammed Uzair Khan is currently a teacher of the Islamic Sciences at Al Bayan Educational Institue, Rowland Heights. His "Dars-e-Nizami" studies commenced at the Institute of Knowledge (IOK) in the year 2010, and he received his Aaliyah degree (Bachelor's equivalent) in the summer of 2015. After that, he set out for the world-renowned Seminary at Jamia Darul Uloom Karachi to further his studies, and he received his Aalimiyyah degree in the summer of 2017. During his years of study, he learned many traditional Islamic sciences such as Arabic grammar, Quranic Exegesis, Hadith literature, and Islamic jurisprudence. The Shaykh is also pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in business analytics at California State University, Fullerton.

Knowing the importance of Halal food and its position in the Islamic tradition, Mohammed Uzair Khan wants to raise awareness of it in the Muslim community. He realizes that there are a lot of misconceptions present in the Muslim community and is willing to clarify the issues in light of the Quran and Sunnah.
